Pool Math

The other day I helped my dad measure our pool to see how heavy the water was.

First we figured out how big a circle it was and used a special number called PI to figure that out. We then saw how deep it was. Then we knew how much water was in it.

I couldn't weight the pool though so I took a bucket and figured out how much water was in the bucket with a calculator and the same math as the pool.

Then we figured out how many buckets of water were in the pool. Last I weighed the bucket and then we knew how heavy the pool water was. Pretty cool.

Marco Polo

We have been studying the life of Marco Polo. He went on a big journey to China which was ruled by the Mongols at that time. The road was hard and dangerous but his desire for knowledge and the world was strong and was able to endure many hardships on his way to China. He went with his dad and uncle but stayed in Chine while they returned back to Italy.

Spain took the WORLD CUP this year!!!

This is Brazil fighting the Netherlands and it is 1:0 for Brazil. Then it is 1:1 .


then it is half time: first half one to one

Brazil sleeps for 13 minutes and Netherlands eats for 14 seconds. Then Netherlands and Brazil both practice soccer for one minute. Then half time is up.

Then it is 2 to 1 for Brazil. Then the game ends. Brazil wins. But in real life the Netherlands beat Brazil 2 to 1.

Ghana is my favorite country in the World Cup. But when they fought Urugway
they lost. I am kind of sad.

Spain fought Netherlands in the finale that means who ever wins it gets the world cup I want Spain to win the world cup because they never got it but the Netherlands never got it either I like Spain because they are really good at soccer I want Spain to win and they did they beat the Netherlands 1 : 0 HERE IS A picture of Spain getting THE WORLD CUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GHANA IS COOL! THEY'RE THE ONLY AFRICAN NATION IN THE WORLD CUP RIGHT NOW.
THEY WILL PLAY URUGUAY NOW. MY FAVORITE PLAYER IS ADDY. I HOPE THEY WIN .

KNIGHTS time.....

We have been studying the Middle ages and read many stories about knights and heroes of the Middle Ages. We saw how homes were build, how roads were make battles were fought. Robin Hood legents, Richard the Lion Heart, King Arthur and so many more. Here are some pictures that I drew out of my imagination:















I even helped my Mom take some pictures of some knights with seen through a magnifying glasses and different angels. I LOVE to take pictures. One day I did it for 4 hours in a row. It was so much fun. Then the battery needed to be charged and I had to wait for it to take more pictures. It was great to capture everything around me. Here are some of the pictures I took of the knights:














I LOVE the middle ages. I learned about Don Quihote as well and watched a movie about him. Interesting.....

FBI Math

I am pretending to be chief of the FBI - Agent Ian. I am working to catch Danoman and his 20 thieves. Each time there are math puzzles that help me find them and get them.

First was Rock Cape. He had set a lock with a pattern I solved and a geometry trail.

Next was Alaca. She had gone haywire and stolen all the money from a bank. I had to figure out a secret code and make a capturing machine with the symbols to get her.

After her I chased Facto. He had left a trail of math facts (add and subtract) which I follwed to catch him.

After that was Cting who was a cyber criminal. On the computer I solved the code to his hideout and figured out which room he was hiding in with fractions.

The last one I just caught was called Atako. He shot arrows which I blocked by solving addition problems over 10. Then I shot the arrows back to catch him using subtraction.

Last I had to cross a bridge but the key was hidden in 9 boxes. The box with the key was heavier than all the others, but I had to find it out only weighing the boxes 2 times. I figured it out even better than my dad who took 3 times.

That's 5 down and 15 to go.
