He extended Poland's borders . Casimir took in persecuted people like Jews,Armenians and gave them equal rights. He had to take care of other foreign powers who wanted Poland like German Teutonic knights , Bohemia, Lithuania and the Mongols.( fun fact the Mongols attacked Indonesia but could not take it ) Casimir made friends with Bohemia , paid of the mongols , the Lithuanians stopped and the Teutonic knights left. When Casimir died he had no heirs , ending the Piast reign. Casimir made his nephew king.

The youngest Templar.

The youngest Templar is a series I have been reading . It has three books .I have read 2 of them and am reading the third on page 103 .The author is called Michael P. Spradlin.

The book is about a orphan called Tristan who became a squire of a Templar knight called Sir Thomas. When he and the other Templar knight and squires were about to get killed by a army of Saladin's men, Sir Thomas gives him the holy grail and tells him to bring it to a monk in Scotland. On his way there he meets friends that accompany him on his journey. He is pursued by a evil Templar knight called Sir Hugh.

Sir Hugh wants the grail for himself. They encounter many hardships along the way .So far they are in the middle of England heading north to Scotland. Richard the Lionheart's mother said that Tristan
had claims to the throne.

The book has its version of Robin Hood in it with an archer called Robard Hode.

The Book is placed in the time of the crusades.

The Templars were a group of knights fighting for Jerusalem but they were loyal to the pope not to the king. They also believed artifacts such as the holy grail would help them win. In the end though Saladin wins as we know from history.

The Moors were a Muslim people that lived in Spain .

Charlemagne used a lot of Calvary and foot soldiers in his battles. Leo III and Charlemagne were friends Because Leo III crowned Charlemagne and Charlemagne defended Leo III. KNIGHTS time.....

We have been studying the Middle ages and read many stories about knights and heroes of the Middle Ages. We saw how homes were build, how roads were make battles were fought. Robin Hood legents, Richard the Lion Heart, King Arthur and so many more. Here are some pictures that I drew out of my imagination:

I even helped my Mom take some pictures of some knights with seen through a magnifying glasses and different angels. I LOVE to take pictures. One day I did it for 4 hours in a row. It was so much fun. Then the battery needed to be charged and I had to wait for it to take more pictures. It was great to capture everything around me. Here are some of the pictures I took of the knights:

I LOVE the middle ages. I learned about Don Quihote as well and watched a movie about him. Interesting.....
