We had a good Easter. We went to church in the morning and my mom gave a talk. She talked about the Resurrection. We learned that the name Easter came from a Norse goddess named Ēostre. In Bulgaria it is called great day. I think it is a better name. After church we came home and ate a feast!! we had lamb with rice, mushrooms, potato, salad and Taziki ( a Bulgarian dish with Yogurt ( we made it) garlic(we grew it) cucumber and Dill) It was delicious. For desert we had figs and almonds. Then we took the eggs we had hard boiled and dyed on Saturday ( we ate crepes and won our soccer game 1-0 on Saturday) and hid them. We went and found the eggs. After that we knocked eggs. We went and walked mikes (a old man who has a broken leg) dogs and Spencer-pierce little farm. After we had dinner we watched rise of the Guardians and went to sleep. Today is Easter Monday. The United States of America dose not Officially recognize Easter Monday as a holiday. Many other Countries do like parts of central Africa, Most of Europe, Canada and other places. Easter Monday is a lot like Easter Sunday. We are Happy and thankful that Jesus died for us and Resurrected.

The youngest Templar.
The youngest Templar is a series I have been reading . It has three books .I have read 2 of them and am reading the third on page 103 .The author is called Michael P. Spradlin.
The book is about a orphan called Tristan who became a squire of a Templar knight called Sir Thomas. When he and the other Templar knight and squires were about to get killed by a army of Saladin's men, Sir Thomas gives him the holy grail and tells him to bring it to a monk in Scotland. On his way there he meets friends that accompany him on his journey. He is pursued by a evil Templar knight called Sir Hugh.
Sir Hugh wants the grail for himself. They encounter many hardships along the way .So far they are in the middle of England heading north to Scotland. Richard the Lionheart's mother said that Tristan
had claims to the throne.
The book has its version of Robin Hood in it with an archer called Robard Hode.
The Book is placed in the time of the crusades.
The Templars were a group of knights fighting for Jerusalem but they were loyal to the pope not to the king. They also believed artifacts such as the holy grail would help them win. In the end though Saladin wins as we know from history.

The Kingdom and the Crown
I've been reading a series of three books which tells the story of Jerusalem during the time of Jesus from the eyes of a family who lived there. I'm on the third book now and they're each about 600 pages long.
One of the sons is a Jewish Zealot who wants to kick the Romans out of Jerusalem for good and who gets in a lot of trouble.
Many of those Jews thought that Jesus would conquer Rome and were disappointed when he didn't.
I learned that Roman Legionaries serve in the army for 30 years.
I also learned that money changers were at the temple in Jerusalem because when people came for Passover they wouldn't accept money with the head of someone else on it since it was like an idol.
So they would change the Roman coins for shekels although they weren't always honest and many people were cheated out of their money.
My favorite thing though was reading the story and seeing how the people listened and started to understand or didn't understand the message Jesus was teaching them.
