new books

I got a new series of books called the tennis shoes among the Nephites  it is all about the ancient Lamanites  and Nephites Ammon , Moroni , and Mormon are Nephites . the books are great i enjoy reading  them

zoo

yesterday i went  too the zoo . but it was a very hard to find are way there. when we got there i first saw wildebeest then zebras and peacocks we walked then we saw tigers  there was one tiger that walking close too  us my mom thought it was there was carts were moving .then we went too the lion there was only  one male who was very lazy all he was roar and sleep then we saw a ostrich we went too the gorilla there was a baby a mom a dad and a grandpa the grandpa came close then it jumped on the glass we were scared then we went home

camp Zion

Me and my family went too a place called camp Zion . there i learned how to paddle. my sister caught  a frog.and we went to an island on the way there we saw lily pads  in the lake that was there . i paddled all around in a canoe. my family and i where about to have are picture taken in the shallows when the canoe turned  over into the water ! then we went back . home the end .                                                                                                                                                                          

aztecs

Jaguar warrior and eagle warrior in battle .these warriors were fierce . 

The Aztecs were first a wandering tribe then they found a place where the settled (which is now called the valley of Mexico ) on the island where they had a city then they went too the other land conquering other tribes which formed there empire. most of the Aztecs where  farmers they planed maize ( which is corn ) potatoes and peppers  but mainly maize   other Aztecs where warriors and noblemen  and the emperor. He had power by collecting tribute which was like taxes but it was not money. Other Aztecs where slaves and craftsmen the Aztec craftsmen  were expert feather workers . the Aztecs played a ball game which they needed to put a ball in a hoop . the Aztecs were a great American civilization.

at the beach

yesterday me and my family were at the beach we built a sandcastle we also found ten hermit crabs.it was very interesting to see what that they fought each other when we put them all together in a little pool they have to be under water to breath . me my sister and my brother all found one sand dollar and we played in the waves . after that we waded too an island of rocks on the island my grandpa found a crab as big as 4 inches then we waded back  we at lunch and went home for a soccer practice.  

Basil II

We've been learning about Basil II and the Byzantine Empire.

It was the Empire after Rome fell in the East. The capital was Constantinople. It was a big empire for over 300 years and then it shrank til only Constantinople was left as the Ottoman Turks destroyed it an that was the end of the Byzantine Empire.

Basil II was the Emperor during the peak of its power. He conquered Bulgaria where my ancestors are from. I like his name though because in Redwall there is a character named Basil Stag Hare.

Today we conquered Jerusalem on Civ IV from Basil and we were the French in the Middle Ages. We are also at war with the Vikings. The middle ages it seems like everyone was at war.

1st Soccer Game

Today was my first official soccer game.

In the 2nd half the score was 3-2.

I was running toward the goal and Tyler on my team was on the other side of the field with the ball.

Tyler passed it to me and I shot it and scored a GOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLL!!!

I don't know if anyone filmed it, but if felt great.

I learned that soccer is fun and I love playing with my brother.
