Bar
Bar
we made Bar. it is a tasty treat . We were inspired from the Lara bar. It is healthy . The bar we made is healthy . It has no added sugar. here is the recipe:
Ingredients
1/2 - 1 cup of Unsweetened coconut ( more if you want more bar )
3 - 4 cups of Almonds ( more if you want more bar )
2 - 3 cups of dates ( more if you want more sweetness )
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 tablespoon of Coconut oil
2 tablespoons of Unsweetened Cocoa powder.
Tools
A Blender that can blend nuts ( preferably a Blendtec )
3 bowls .
a spoon
Measuring cups and spoons
Take the almonds and put them in the Blender. Put the lid on . Then if you have pulse ( its on a Blendtec ) tap it for 8-14 seconds or till almonds are blended. If you don't have Pulse then blend . Put the blended almonds in a bowl. Then Blend the Coconut. Put it in a bowl. Then take your dates . If you have pitted dates then cut them up into half and then put them in the blender. But if your dates have pits then you have to rip then up and put the pits in the Garbage. Then you have to cut then into halfs. Cut and rip before you put the dates in the blender . Then Pulse them in the blender. After that take the blended dates out with a spoon. Then put the dates , almonds and coconut in the third bowl. Add Vanilla extract and then Melt the coconut oil for about 15 seconds. Put it in the bowl. then mix with a spoon . ( if you don't have a Blendtec this may not work. So you can just sprinkle it with the Cocoa powder and put it in the fridge ) Put it all in the Blender and Pulse for 7-12 seconds. then take it all with a spoon and put it in a bowl. Sprinkle the Cocoa powder and Put it in the fridge for an hour to make it stick. the more Dates, Vanilla extract and Coconut oil you add the more it sticks. This bar is delicious with fruit.

Dribiling on ice 2
They were awarded the British Ilse Cup . The next Day they took a plane
to Brazil, where the qualifacations would be held. They were in Group A
with Belgium , Macedonia , Serbia And Algeria . There were going to Play
Algeria First. This was going To be Easy, thought Nam. They played in
Fortaleza . At the 5th Minute Scotland scored . Nam had a volley that
went in. At half Time it was 6 - 0 . But the Algiers subbed all of their
Defense And moved midfield down. Scotland could only Score 1 more Goal
before The match was over. 7-1 . They were going To Play Serbia next
.The game was at rio di zanero . Scotland started with it. The game
began . Ben gave it to aberfoyle . Aberfoyle thought that he could score
on S. Handovock . He couldn't . Handovock gave it to Stjepan a Serbian
scorer . Stjepan dribbled up and was blocked by Coe. Coe dived the wrong
way as Stjepan shot. But Stjepan shot it off target. Coe took the goal
kick to Scott. Scott gave it to Ben . Ben dribbled up and just before
the defense tackled him he gave it to Nam. Nam short dribbled toward S.
Handovock . Handovock dived but Nam passed it to Aberfoyle and Aberfoyle
scored. The game was pretty uneventful until the 77th minute. Stjepan
scored a cheap goal on Coe that should have been off-sides. But Scotland
came back at the 89th minute . Nam Bian volleyed it into the net as
Scott gave it to him . The game was over that second. Scotland was
relived. The day after they played Belgium. Belgium had won that group
for many years and that was why they played the final. Belgium was
famous for their defense. Nam, Scott , Aberfoyle and Ben tried to get
past Kompany and Vermaelen. But Belgium's poor offense could not score
on Coe. The game was a Tie . On the final you need to go to penalties .
On this Scotland might win . Belgium took the first kick. It was a save
by Coe . But he hit his arm against the post and was injured . Gordon ,
Scotland's other keeper had to go in. Ben shot on Thibaut ( Belgium's
keeper ). Ben Scored ! Then Belgium scored on Gordon.1 minute later it
to Scotland had scored all 5 goals and Belgium had minus one. The game
was over. Scotland had qualified for the world cup!!! The team they were
going to fight first was France. They played in Southern Argentina. It
was colder their. Just how Nam liked it. The game was on. Rie berry gave
it to Benzima.
Benzima thought that he could score on Scotland. Coe had recovered from
his injury. So he saved it. He gave it to Ben. Ben dribbled up and gave
it to Aberfoyle. Aberfoyle
dribbled down the line and crossed it to Ben who had run up . Ben
Shot... But Llorris saved it. Nam followed it up . It was in. Rie
berry scored at the 47th minute. Ben got a red card when he Kicked
Llorris in the head. Llorris was out and France put a new keeper in. Ben
did it on accident but it helped Scotland. Aberfoyle
had a goal at the 68 minute. But France scored two more goals when
Coe's arm hurt again. Gordon could not save Benzima's shots. Scotland
had lost. 2 - 3. Nam was sad and mad. They had lost Ben and Coe for
their next game and they lost the first game. But if Scotland won the
next two games they could go to the quarter finals. How could Scotland
win without their best keeper and Forward? The next game was versus
Ghana. They were one of the best teams in Africa. Kwasi ( a Ghanaian
forward ) gave it to Acquah. Acquah dribbled up and crossed it too Gyan. Gyan shot on Gordon and missed. Gordon gave it to Nam. Nam dribbled up and crossed it to Scott. Scott lost the ball and ran back on D. Kwasi
had a run and scored on Gordon. It was looking bad for Scotland. At the
77th minute Aberfoyle scored . The offender that Scotland had for Ben
was Adam. At the 87th minute Scotland subbed Coe in for Gordon . This
was crucial, for Kwasi had another shot at the 89th minute but Coe saved it with his uninjured arm. Coe punted it all the way to Amoako the keeper for Ghana . Amoako dropped the ball and Adam slid it in at the last second. Scotland had won. Their next match was against Turkey. Nam gave the ball to Adam. Adam lost it. Şükür ( a Turkish striker ) Dribbled up , then passed it to Oktay . Oktay shot and Gordon saved it. Gordon gave it to Aberfoyle . Aberfoyle passed it to Nam and he scored on Kırıntılı. The game's final score was 3 - 1. Scotland had won. They were in the quarter finals. There first game was against Denmark.Victor ( on Denmark ) started with it. He gave it to Tomasson
. Tomasson dribbled up and was stopped by Scott . Scott Hit it long to
Nam . Nam shot and beat Schmeichel ( the Danish keeper ). But Tomasson
had a goal to. The final score was 1 - 2 for Scotland. Chile was up next
. Nam gave it to Adam. Adam dribbled up . Then shot but Bravo ( the
Chilean keeper ) saved it. He gave it to Salas. Salas ran up and crossed
it to Vargas . Vargas shot ... and Coe saved it. Coe gave it to Nam and
he scored by lofting it over Bravo. The Game ended with no other
goals. They were in the Semi-finals! There next game was versus Italy!
How could they beat the second best team of all time ! The day of the
Game was finally here. Pirlo gave it to Balotelli. Balotelli dribbled up
and crossed it to Gilardino. But Coe intercepted it . Coe punted it
long. De Rossi picked it off. He passed it to Pirlo. They passed it
around in the midfield until Pirlo gave it to Gilardino. Gilardino Shot
... and scored! Nam was overcome with grief. At the 44th minute he had a
shot but Buffon had an amazing save. It was half time. Italy was
certain they would beat Scotland. Nam devised a strategy with Aberfoyle
, Ben , Adam and Scott . Adam would give it to Scott on the kick off.
Scott would draw the defender and then pass it to Aberfoyle on the wing.
Aberfoyle would draw another defender and give it to Ben on the left
side of the net. Meanwhile Nam would run up to the other side. Ben would
fake a Shot on Buffon and then pass it to Nam. Nam would then score. It
was that simple. It went alright until it was Ben's turn . Ben shot
instead of passing it and Buffon saved it. Nam was so mad. Then they
scored another goal. It was 2-0. They tried it again . This time It went
in. 2-1 at the 78th minute. Scott had an amazing shot from mid-field
but Buffon saved it.
Aberfoyle realized that Buffon was what stopped them from
scoring. So he knocked him out. He obviously got a red card but at
least Buffon was out. Marchetti was their other keeper. Ben scored on Marchetti . Marchetti was not a very good keeper and penalties came. Buffon
had recovered but was injured badly. Cesare Claudio Prandelli his coach
insisted that he should not play. But Buffon wanted to play. Balotelli
was up. He shot put Coe saved it. Ben shot and Buffon barley saved it.
When he hit ground his wound knocked him out. Nam had done a good job. Marchetti was in net . First Gilardino shot . He Scored. Then Nam
scored. Pirlo did a Pirlo shot straight at the keeper. He Thought Coe
would dive. Coe did not. He Saved it. Then Adam Barley scored. The end
score was 4-2. Scotland was in the Final!!! This was farther then the
team had ever gone. Nam was happy and sad that Aberfoyle could not play in the
final. The Final was against Brazil. They played at Temuco Chile. Nam and the rest of the offense and mid-field did the trick again. Craig had gone in for Aberfoyle. They Did the Trick but David Luiz intercepted a pass. Then he gave it to Hulk. Hulk dribbled around a Scottish defender and then crossed it to Neymar. Neymar headed it and it was in. Scotland did the trick again But Thiago Silva and Dani Alves knew what hey were doing. They stopped it. Then gave it to Oscar. Oscar Dribbled up and then gave it to Jô. Jô then Scored. Scotland was getting beat. Adam Knocked Thiago Silva and David Luiz out in one hit. Adam got a red card . But then Brazil put two other players Maicon and Dante in for Thiago Silva and David Luiz. Scotland did the trick again . This time they scored. Half time had passed and they were coming towards the end. 2-1. Then Coe Punted it into their net. It was Amazing. Neymar tried a Last shot but missed it. Nam was running up with Craig on the side. Craig passed it and Nam scored at the 100th minute. The game was over and Scotland had won. 3-2. Scotland Got the World cup. They won !!!!!!!!!!!

Dribbling on ice (a story )
On a cold January morning in the Scottish town of Nairn a boy was strolling around.
His name was Nam Bian. He and his family were going south to visit his English cousins down in Peterborough. He was sent on some last minute errands to pack up for the journey.
He walked toward Scottish Jerky and paid the store keeper 3 pounds (with the money his mother gave him) for a bag of regular jerky. He sure liked jerky but he was ordered to not eat it as it was for the journey.
He ran across the street and into the Asher’s bakery. The smell of freshly baked bread filled the air as he walked towards the desk. He bought 3 large loaves of bread for 21 pounds. Then he stepped back into the bitter cold air. Racing down the street he returned home. Nam lived in a small rickety gray house. He gave his parents the supplies and walked to his room to pack up his books and sport gear. He played very little sports and the only sport he played was football (soccer). He was not that good at it though.
He packed it up as his mom said it was time to go. He and his family all gathered at the front door. Then they carried the bags and boxes into their car. They had a Ford truck. So the kids and the baggage were in the back as they drove south. Nam's family could not afford a plane so they had to drive the whole way.
They got on the A96 (the free way) then they got on the A9 which they would follow for a long way. They ate the food they packed and read their books on the way. It was a long wait. 8 hours 30 min later they drove into their relatives garage.
They went to sleep when they got in for it was time to (they had left their house at noon). When they woke up they were greeted by their relatives. Nam asked his to cousins their names. One was named Orton and the other was named Derby.
Orton was fat and slow. He was wearing a black shirt with a white blade of grass on it.
Derby was skinny and fast. He was wearing a white shirt with a black rhino on it. They asked Nam if he played any sports.
He replied "I play a little football, shall we go and play a game in the yard?"
"Yes! Just let me get my brother Coe", replied Nam.
Nam ran and got Coe, while Orton and Derby ran outside (Orton walked). For nets they set up two wooden posts twelve feet away from each other on either side of a 30 feet grass yard. The teams were Nam and Orton VS Derby and Coe.
Nam and Orton kicked off.
When Orton got it Nam just stood there when he should have run up. Orton was slow and lost the ball to Derby. Derby sprint-dribbled up the Field toward Nam's unprotected Posts. Nam Sprinted to catch up and slid Derby just as he shot it. The ball whizzed through the posts. " GGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL!" Derby and Coe yelled.
Nam was not happy and decided to let Orton pass it to him. When he got it he dribbled up but Derby was in his way.
He passed it to Orton and ran toward his net. Orton shot.... but missed by a mile. As Coe went to get the ball Nam asked Orton what he was good at in soccer. Orton said he was good at keeper. So Nam sent Orton into keep as he was on defense. When Coe took the Goal kick Nam rushed at Derby. Derby just touched it past him as if it were as easy as picking daises.
Then he sprint dribbled with far touches. Nam thought if only he could get in front of him then he could take it. But he was not in front of him, so Derby shot. Orton dived and amazingly saved it! Then he threw it to Nam. Nam dribbled toward Coe but not like Derby's long dribbles.
He dribbled closer to him. Nam shot it and slipped on some ice. The ball whizzed in but Nam hit the ice hard. He woke up to find that he was in his bed that he shared with Coe at his cousin’s house. He had a pain in his knee but he could still walk and run when he got out of his bed. He wanted to keep playing so he ran outside.
The game had stopped and everyone was lying about waiting for Nam to come out. When he did the game continued. At one point when Nam totally missed a shot and Coe took the goal kick badly, Derby said that he was a better football player than either of the Bians.
Nam got mad and scored a goal which quieted Derby down for a little. But when they drove back home (after two days) Nam wanted to become a better football player.
So when he got home he practiced day and night out on the cold ice. The ice became his enemy and friend. When he fell on it he would have to wait a few days before he could go out again. Sometimes it broke a bone and his parents could not afford a doctor but it still healed. Soon when he fell on the ice he did not fell much pain at all. He ate the rare brie from France that came once a year to a local store. He bought it with his own money.
It helped him build strong bones. He shot and dribbled and shot and dribbled on that ice. He bought the soccer ball with his own money. He played so much on that slippery Scottish ice that one day he found that he could not slip on it.
The days past then the weeks then the years. 10 years later he was on the Scottish national team. But he could not play in the world cup yet for he and his team had to win the British Isle cup to be nominated.
For years England had won it and was sent to qualify for the world cup. The losers never even had a chance at it. The cup was between: Ireland , Wales , England and Scotland. Nam was determined to win it with his brother Coe.
They were going to play Wales and England was to play Ireland. They practiced and practiced for the big day. It was in the summer. Nam slept uneasily that night hoping they could beat Wales. When they at last stood on the stadiums field in London, Nam knew they would win. Wales was closer to London than Scotland so they started with it.
Nam was on right Forward and pressured the guy who had the ball. The guy hit it long to a forward on Wales who had run up. It was a one on one! Coe closed in on the guy and dived the right way when he shot it and saved it! " That was some good goalkeeping", said the commentator.
Coe Punted it up field to Ben the center forward. Ben gave it to Aberfoyle the left forward. Aberfoyle shot. The Ball was saved by Owain the Welsh keeper. But Nam sprinted up and got the ball before the Welsh defense. He turned and shot.... it was in. "GGGGGOOOOOAAAAALLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!". The game went on with no other goals. Scotland had won! Nam and Coe had a great time for they were to fight England for the final.
Ten days later they were fighting England at Glasgow. Scotland started with the ball. The game was on. Derby and Orton were both on England. Orton was keeper. Ben gave it to Nam. Nam dribbled close and Hit it to a midfielder who had run up. His name was Scott. Scott took a shot on the now thinner Orton. Orton saved it. He Punted it up. Nam ran back on D. Derby got the ball from Parker (an English midfielder) and was long dribbling up. Coe dived for it but missed, now Derby was straight in front of Nam's net. Nam did not make the same mistake that he had 10 years earlier. He jumped with all his might and slid the ball out of Derby's feet. Derby fell face forward as Coe dived on the ball. The Ref said that Nam had slid legally and to play on.
Nam received thanks and praise as he ran back up. Nam got the ball from Scott. Nam dribbled up. The Wales defense tried to push him over but he would not fall down unless he wanted to. The ice had trained him hard. He was in the box. A defender slid him. Most players would be out from that hit. But it did not hurt Nam.It was a penalty. Nam faked left and Orton dived right. But Nam still shot it left. It was in......"GGGGGGGOOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". Yelled the crowd. England got back as Derby scored.
At the 88th minute it was 6-6. Rooney had just scored. Nam gave it to Ben and Ben lofted it to Scott. Scott Faked right and Orton dived right. But Scott lofted it over Orton. The ball was an inch from the line. Nam sprinted up and slid the ball in just before Orton dived. The game was over and Scotland had won.

Recent Africa history
First explorations
Some of the first explorations were the Europeans rounding the cape of good hope. Then christian missionaries from Europe started exploring more into Africa. One of these was a famous explorer
named David Livingstone. He explored deep into Africa . When he got to Europe he wrote a book about his explorations. when he went back to Africa he was missing for 4 years. So a newspaper in America sent a reporter named Henry Stanley to look for him. He found him in Ujiji near lake Victoria .Livingstone stayed in Africa.
First colonies
The first colonies in africa were near the coast. Britain , France , Portugal , Germany , Netherlands and others settled these first colonies . South africa was controlled by the Boers ( Dutch ) and the British . Angola and Mozambique were controlled by Portugal . France took Sierra Leon and other coastal places. Germany took the coastal parts of Tanzania and Namibia. Italy took some of Libya and Somali. All these colonies gave the European powers more goods like gold, ivory and sugar.
The scramble for Africa
During the late 1800s and early 1900s the scramble for africa took off. The European countries started to take more of the land inland . New European countries started to come like Belgium and Spain . Belgium took a giant part of africa in the Congo. Spain took land southwest of modern day Morocco. Britain took Ghana or the gold coast, Egypt, Sudan, Kenya, Botswana , Zimbabwe, Zambia and Nigeria. France took almost all of west Africa and Madagascar . Portugal took guinea bassu in northwest africa. Cameroon and Togo were taken by Germany. Germany also took all of Namibia and Tanzania. Netherlands loses their land in Africa . Italy takes Eritrea . Ethiopia and Liberia are the only countries to survive the scramble of Africa .
