Animal Classification

Today we learned about the animal kingdom and ordered my toy animals.

There are different ways to order animals -

At the top is the PHYLUM.

Most of my animals are CHORDATA or animals with backbones

There were two that weren't though

One was my octopus. He was a Mollusc



Another was my scorpion. He is an arthopod - that means his skeleton is on the outside.


After that we ordered by CLASS - I have

Birds



Reptiles



Fish (Mostly sharks)



and a lot of MAMMALS

After Class is ORDER

I have Mammals with one toe hoof



Mammals with two toe hoofs



Poroboscidea - the only animal here is the Elephant



Primates (I think Chewbaca should be a Primate)



Cetaceans (whales and dolphins)



Pinnipedia (fin-feet)




And lots of Carnivores



The dragon was in the mammals by accident. But he might be warm-blooded since he breathes fire.

GREECE

In Greece they played sports called the Olympic games.
The people were naked in the olympics. There are two different reasons I read why. One because a person was racing and lost his clothes and he won. The other story is that someone tripped on their clothes and got stepped on and died.

There were also philosphers who talked about all sorts of stuff. Mostly older guys with beards.

EGYPT

The Egyptians built pyramids and they used 20 people to carry the humongous blocks of stone.
The capstone was made of gold, but robbers took it. People didn't live in the pyramids. The pyramids were tombs for the kings called Pharaohs.

People who worked on the pyramid were the
Foreman - told the workers what to do (he was wearing a wig)
Mason - Carved the blocks to fit together.
Painter - painted the capstone with special markings
Water Carrier - brought water for the hard workers to drink. It was into big leather bags that were hooked onto wood and he carried on his shoulder. One bag was for drinking. The other bag was to put water on the ground to make the sled with the blocks go faster (less friction).

Security guard Tyrone flashed his flashlight on the museum artwork.



Everything was OK, so he sat down to take a rest. But then Bandit Pablo came in through the secret passageway.


Then Bandit Pablo stepped on the alarm button while he was trying to get the money.



The alarm woke up Security Guard Tyrone. He flashed his flashlight on Bandit Pablo while he was hiding behind a statue.



Tyrone saw him and chased him towards the money box.


Then Pablo talked to Security Guard Tyrone, saying "I will put the money back. I just wanted to look at the money. "




Then Pablo put back the money and Tyrone was very surprised.



Tyrone was proud of the Bandit Pablo. Bandit Pablo walked out the door. All the sculptures and artwork was safe.

Transformers Story

My family and I decided to do this story about the transformers and I wrote it and drew it.
Here is the story:


I am going to Target to get my toy with my family in the car.


I am at target and I am so excited


I got my toy and I am the happiest ever and my Mommy is taking pictures of me getting my toy.


But I see my toy come alive!!! It told me to help them get the Decepticons. I said: OK. Thank you for the outfit.


The transformer toy showed me a book. It told me to JUMP INTO THE BOOK!!!!! So I DID!!!


I saw a BIG BIG BIG decepticon in my path. So I got it. It fell down so I walked along


I stoped in my tracks I saw BumbleBee. He was sneaking up on a bad decepticon cheeta.


He broke the cheeta apart.



I said to BumbleBee that I was not Optimus Prime . Then I said: Optimus Prime was dead. Then I said that there was a thing up in the rocks that could make Opimus Prime alive again. So BumbleBee helped me to get the thing that can make Optimus Prime Alive. Then Ratchet came. BumbleBee said to Ratchet that Optimus Prime is dead but there was a thing that was up in the rocks that can make Optimus Prime alive again. So Ratched helped us to get it. It looked like Ratched needed some help too.



Then we all were up where the thing was hidden so we dug in the dirt and we found the thing to make Optimus Prime alive agian.

Then I came out of the book and I went home with my transformer toy and my family.

The Summer of 2009

This is Buffy down the street from us at Tender Crop farm.
