VIVA LA ROMA

I've been learning about Rome.

A Roman Centurion is a leader of 80 Roman legionaries.
A Roman General is the leader of all of the men.
Rome conquered from Egypt to Britain. The Romans fought the Gauls.
Gaul today is France.

Romans learned different technologies too.
They had a crossbow that could break through armor.
They had a special siege towers too for getting inside a city or castle.

They made aqueducts to get water in the cities. The leader who made the aqueduct was Augustus Caesar. But he did not see the aqueduct finished, a later emperor Tiberius did.
When the barbarians attacked Rome at the end, they destroyed the aqueduct and the people didn't have water so they left Rome.

When they were attacking Britain, they made a wall all the way across the country. It was called Hadrian's wall. Parts of the wall are still there today.

My favorite way of saying Rome is Red Rome because the legionaries had Red shields and capes.

Rome was a great empire until the people got lazy and barbarians attacked and the Roman empire fell.

I drew pictures of Roman soldiers, Asterix and Obelix who fought the Romans, Roman Sea battles and built a Roman fort with my brother.
