Story game

king  Ganan And  his son Jikin lived good and Joan the enchanter  came and taught  Jikin magic but one day they  where tired that there was no adventure so one day  they boarded a ship they sailed for a long time when they came to a island

history of the island :

Long Long ago Great armies fought each other and two survived the the lava monsters andthe dark creatures . A great sword was left Behind in thebattle and possessed magic and was powerful but only  humans could wield it  solava monsters and Dark creatures could not use it's power so theydefended it No human had ever retrieved the sword and they couldn'tdestroy the dark creatures or the lava monsters 

 Ganan and Jikin  
took there swords and started the journey exploring  40 men at there backs there were two ways to get too the sword go through  dark woods or a lava path both were dangerous Ganan and Jikin went both ways they approached the  Lava path then someone shouted
" look a  mons.... " He could not finish his sentence because a lava monster threw a lava ball at him . Ganan shouted " FIRE ! " as Loud as he could His men threw rocks shot arrows but this did not hurt the lava monster it actually helped it lava burdened the rocks and the arrows the rocks helped it by making more lava and the lava monster became stronger . So Ganan, Jikin and all the sword soldiers charged the lava monster it hurled another lava stone which killed half of the sword soldiers but when Ganan and Jikin arrived they swung there swords "SLASH " the lava monster fell
And the ten remaining soldiers charged through then stopped . Ganan decided to go through the dark woods. all the soldiers agreed so they went in to the dark woods " ooooo " something flashed through the woods " what was that ? " Jikin asked " I will make a invisible shield around us but it won't stay for long I don't have enough Magic so make a run for it " he told them and they ran like they had never run before Ganan said " and if they attack you fight them " a dark creature
Attacked s soldiers and sucked him up . the remaining soldiers where terrified
" swoosh " Jikin had killed a dark creature . That meant the invisible shield was gone and the dark creatures
Could attack them easier ! shrieks and screams filled the air Ganan and Jikin
Fought along side there soldiers in till there wasn't one left then they ran . Ganan and Jikin slashed there way through. Wounded in many places at last They found light . light was the only was they could get through . streaks of it shined into the forest. So Ganan and
Jikin stepped from light too light and got out of the dark forest and into the
Other side of it . then they kept on walking and walking
" if we find a well I can turn the water into light dust which will keep away the
Dark creatures " Jikin said  " good" Ganan agreed " let's look for one " they began searching in the under growth , behind bushes and past trees then they heard
Mumbling . they walked towards it .When they got there they fond a well and a women she wore raged clothes and had thousands of lice in her hair Jikin asked the women if they could have some water " may we have some Water " he pleaded with her " who are you ? " she croaked " i am Lakflow the witch of this side " then she attacked Jikin with magic . Jikin ducked the magic . It hit Ganan and he fell in too the water With a splash . Then Jikin mumbled a few words on his sword and struck Lakflow at her side she fell into the Water and drowned Ganan burst the surface and lay down on the grass . Then he said " what magic did you use ?" he asked . Jikin was pouring water on the swords . He stopped and responded too Ganan " my strongest " Then he turned the water into light dust and both swords glowed " we are Ready to go in the dark forest " and he gave Ganan his sword they set off toward the forest there was a cry in it but when they stepped in the darkness there swords shined . They shined there rays at the dark creatures and killed them the rest fled Ganan and Jikin ran too the other side they walked and walked then came too a volcano Ganan saw a sword by a tree he started toward it

But then it happened
The ground shook and there was a tremendous rumble . From the volcano came a blast of lava, Smoke , ashes and rocks . One rock
Hit Ganan In the head knocking him out cold . Jikin was using his magic to stop blasts of lava , Smoke , ashes and rocks . Out of the volcano came a monstrous sight a...a...a humongous. Lava Monster The King !! Jikin quickly Turned the light dust on his sword
back in to water and woke up Ganan And they made a plan . Jikin would use magic to make Ganan fly then Jikin would distract the King Lava Monster while Ganan flys up and pokes it in the lava eye so that happened After the Lava Monster was beat they got the sword before another lava monster was born then they went back to there ship  through the dark forest Ganan still had his light dust they salied home Ganan gave the sword they had found to Jikin hundreds of people came with Jikin to the new island to live with Jikin as there king


THE END

Next story
 100 Years later on the island were a civilization was made and the sword was powerful   one more species were being born the colossus's were the only one but there was black colossus's born from the dark creatures which turned into dark wolves but light birds were born from the sun . Light colossus's were born from light birds light birds lived in the light valley but couldn't enter the dark forest and dark wolves could not enter the light valley but there was a path ( the same path Ganan & Jikin took to find the witch ) between the dark forest and the light valley where light birds and dark wolves could enter and fight . Light colossus's hated dark colossus's and dark colossus's hated light colossus's light was good and dark was bad humans were winning but the hundreds of men became greedy and wanted the sword for then selves. The sword was only handed down from generation to generation of Ganans family right then Calcin Ganans Great great great great great great great great great great  grandson possessed it . he had to destroy it but what men could he trust ? There were 4 men that he trusted it was all he could do take them along with two colossus's and go he lived inside a castle beacus he was a descended of Ganan . A sentry interrupted his thoughts with a loud call " BLACK COLOSSUS'S !!! " Calcin shouted back at his Guards " get at your spots ..... Fire ! " They fired but two shot at him Calcin ducked then called his colossus's and they bounded out of the castle slashing there swords . The battle was on . Calcin went down the steps then ran trough the gates slashing his powerful sword killing two black colossus's he swirled around plunging his sword into a black colossus's who was sneaking up on him he jumped up and came down on a black colossus's splitting him in half Then he heard a black colossus yell " retreat ! " and the black colossus's ran away Calcin ordered his army not to pursed them and they went in side Calcin chose two men to go with him to accompany him on his short journey to another fortress controlled by the humans he wanted to find a way he could destroy the sword but he did not tell this to the guards. And they went on there way . Meanwhile The commander of a fortress ( the same one Calcin was going too ) who was named Krooncich for short Kroony . He hated Calcin And wanted the sword for himself he was organizing a band of men ( more like a horde ) who wanted treasure and Krooncich promised them some because he knew when he had the sword he could beat anyone and take all there treasures but in his mind he would only give a 8th of everything he got and keep the rest for himself oh how good it would fell to have that sword . One of his men interrupted his thoughts " Kroony it's Calcin ! " he shouted Krooncich swirled around there about 33 feet ( 10.0584 meters ) away from him walking towards the castle with one wounded man was his enemy. he quickly thought how too meat him and climbed  down the steps and mounted his horse two light colossus's behind him he rode toward Calcin  Krooncich 's men took the wounded man in the fortress while Krooncich greeted  Calcin " ah Calcin the greatest warrior off this time bearer of the magic sword what happened too your man ? are you wounded ? why have you left your castle ? come if you are wounded my men will heal you come in sire
let 's go " Calcin reponded to every question " i had two colossus's and four men all died except the one you saw  in a battle with a  roaming lava monster it was a fearsome battle but in the end we cut him down as for your second question i am not wounded but my man has a serious burn  and i have come because i have heard rumor that you have a old wise man here is it true ?" Krooncich  thought about this then responded " ah yes the crazy man is in the cellars you can see him if you want to  " they walked toward the Fortress  when they got there Calcin ate then went toward the cellars he climbed down the steps when he got down he heard a frail voice  " help me young sir "  then Calcin saw a old man between the barrels of ale Calcin asked "are you the wise one ? " the man answered " yes but i cant help you before you   help me "  " what do you need " Calcin asked .the man replied " freedom . i need to escape from this place help me " he pleaded Calcin responded " i will " with confidence

Napoleon

Napoleon was first an army general of France .
But he wanted power so he attacked Italy. most of its northern part was conquered by Austria .....Frances enemy. he marched there and told the Italian citizens that he was there to save them ( a phrase he would use a lot ) then he drove the Austrian soldiers out and conquered Italy then went back to France .when he got there the French praised him . So he went too attack Austria its self .when he got there the Austrian's declared a peace treaty .so he went back to France the people there praised him even more and he said " for the glory of France " but the truth was he wanted to be king . the leaders of France suspected this so they made a meeting with him and told him to attack England . Napoleon Knew that attacking England would mean Certain death so he suggested Egypt .the leaders agreed . Egypt was far away he would be gone for a long time .( Egypt was conquered by the Turks at the time ) Napoleons men sailed down too Egypt. Meanwhile the leader of the English navy heard from spies that France where going too attack ...... Somewhere .so he sailed through the Mediterranean looking for him .back at Egypt Napoleons army was battling the Turks And winning .Napoleon said to the Egyptians ( again) " I am coming to save you I respect Muhammad and the Koran more than you " but he did not truly respect them . Then the British navy came and attacked the French navy . They Fought In the Nile river. Napoleons ships where captured and burned but Napoleon saved one small ship
And on a misty night he escaped past the ships and sailed back to France .

Christmas

We had fun at the Santa fair I asked for red wall toys .and We cleaned toys And got toys for Seth

We watched the devotional tonight and the first presidency talked about chrismas and it was about Jesus Christ and not santa,presents
And marketing I felt the spirt .

new books

I got a new series of books called the tennis shoes among the Nephites  it is all about the ancient Lamanites  and Nephites Ammon , Moroni , and Mormon are Nephites . the books are great i enjoy reading  them

zoo

yesterday i went  too the zoo . but it was a very hard to find are way there. when we got there i first saw wildebeest then zebras and peacocks we walked then we saw tigers  there was one tiger that walking close too  us my mom thought it was there was carts were moving .then we went too the lion there was only  one male who was very lazy all he was roar and sleep then we saw a ostrich we went too the gorilla there was a baby a mom a dad and a grandpa the grandpa came close then it jumped on the glass we were scared then we went home

camp Zion

Me and my family went too a place called camp Zion . there i learned how to paddle. my sister caught  a frog.and we went to an island on the way there we saw lily pads  in the lake that was there . i paddled all around in a canoe. my family and i where about to have are picture taken in the shallows when the canoe turned  over into the water ! then we went back . home the end .                                                                                                                                                                          

aztecs

Jaguar warrior and eagle warrior in battle .these warriors were fierce . 

The Aztecs were first a wandering tribe then they found a place where the settled (which is now called the valley of Mexico ) on the island where they had a city then they went too the other land conquering other tribes which formed there empire. most of the Aztecs where  farmers they planed maize ( which is corn ) potatoes and peppers  but mainly maize   other Aztecs where warriors and noblemen  and the emperor. He had power by collecting tribute which was like taxes but it was not money. Other Aztecs where slaves and craftsmen the Aztec craftsmen  were expert feather workers . the Aztecs played a ball game which they needed to put a ball in a hoop . the Aztecs were a great American civilization.

at the beach

yesterday me and my family were at the beach we built a sandcastle we also found ten hermit crabs.it was very interesting to see what that they fought each other when we put them all together in a little pool they have to be under water to breath . me my sister and my brother all found one sand dollar and we played in the waves . after that we waded too an island of rocks on the island my grandpa found a crab as big as 4 inches then we waded back  we at lunch and went home for a soccer practice.  

Basil II

We've been learning about Basil II and the Byzantine Empire.

It was the Empire after Rome fell in the East. The capital was Constantinople. It was a big empire for over 300 years and then it shrank til only Constantinople was left as the Ottoman Turks destroyed it an that was the end of the Byzantine Empire.

Basil II was the Emperor during the peak of its power. He conquered Bulgaria where my ancestors are from. I like his name though because in Redwall there is a character named Basil Stag Hare.

Today we conquered Jerusalem on Civ IV from Basil and we were the French in the Middle Ages. We are also at war with the Vikings. The middle ages it seems like everyone was at war.

1st Soccer Game

Today was my first official soccer game.

In the 2nd half the score was 3-2.

I was running toward the goal and Tyler on my team was on the other side of the field with the ball.

Tyler passed it to me and I shot it and scored a GOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLL!!!

I don't know if anyone filmed it, but if felt great.

I learned that soccer is fun and I love playing with my brother.

Ouchy

Today my brother and I were playing with our sister in our back yard by the big tree log and when she dropped her doll down by the tree it landed on a wasps nest. Then we started to cry and run to our mommy because these bad bees were biting us.
It was not fun but mommy saved us and put on our bites baking soda and vinegar and it was not hurting at all. Only later at night before I went to sleep it was hurting me again but she put some after bite cream and we were ok. I got 2 bites and my brother got 6 bites. My sister didn't get any bites. I was glad that she was ok and didn't get hurt.

After that we learned that there is a wasp/bee eating bird and loves to eat wasps. I wish I had one of those birds. Some spiders also eat wasps.
We are all feeling better but that was not a fun experience but we learned a lot about wasps too.

The Beach

here are some things we saw at the beach yesterday . fish , crabs , orange rocks and green heads . we had fun at the beach and imagined many things. i love summer and going to the beach when it is low tide and look at the animals and learn about them. we live in such a beautiful place

Learning to play the Piano

I like to play the piano. It is fun to hear music and later play it on my piano. My dad is a great teacher and he plays the piano by ear. I am trying to be like him;) Here are some of the songs I know how to play on the piano right now. I have a goal for summer to learn 10 new songs. I am excited.

otters

 there are otters that live in ponds, rivers,lakes and in the Pacific ocean .river otters are not as big as sea otters .sea otters eat a lot of sea urchins  in fact if there were no sea otters in the ocean the urchins population would grow and grow they and other sea animals would eat all the plants and then there would not be anymore plants  then the sea animals would all die . so sea otters are important . river otters eat fish and live in kelp forest. here is a fun fact i know about otters i know that group of otters is called a ( raft ) otters are very fast swimmers     they have predators but humans are there greatest threat so pleas try too help otters  they are one of my favorite animals.

fresh squeezed lemonade

Today i set up a lemonade stand i had fun. reading my book while waiting for customers. When people came i gave them lemonade and they gave me money. Each cup was a dollar because it was fresh squeezed.

My recipe for lemonade is 2 lemons with pulp, 8 spoons of sugar and water and ice til it tastes good.

I marketed my lemonade by making a sign with cut out blue and yellow letters that said "Fresh Squeezed Lemonade - Ice Cold" and I put it in a frame by the street.

I think I had 6 customers and they bought 10 cups of lemonade. It was a very hot day and it felt like more than 100 degrees. I was in the shade with an umbrella though.

I spent $6.50 for lemons, sugar and cups.

I earned $10.

My profit was $3.50.

It's fun to make money while you read your book.

redwall series

four weeks ago me and my family were getting ready to go on a trip to Utah when i could not find a book to read on the plane . then my dad gave me a book called Redwall i accepted it not to happily
not thinking it would be fun. but willing too give it a try .on the plane i enjoyed the book. it was very fun when we got too Utah i stopped reading it .but on the way back i read it on the night we returned too our house i finessed the book i found out there was a series and i only read the first one. the next day i got the second one i loved the Redwall series now i I'm on the seventh one which is called The Outcast Of Redwall . the author off the series is called Brian Jacques his books are about a world of rodents,badgers,otters ,hares,hedgehogs,reptiles , frogs , fish, birds , moles , Squirrels, foxes , ferrets , stoats , weasels and cats war and peace is in the books there my favorite.

Summer Goals

I love the summer.
Here are some of my goals for this summer 2011:

They are divided in few groups:

1. Physical:
-Play soccer, practice each day except Sunday
-Biking and running. One big bike ride weekly with my dad and brother.
-Practice soccer with my brother London.

2.Mental/Artistic:

-Read all of the books in the Redwall series. Read Story of the World the third book.
-Watch Brain Pop and get ideas for science projects from there as well.
-Create Redwall imagination drawings from what I read in the books and how I imagine the creatures to look like.
-Cook Redwall food with Mom and my brother and sister.

3. Service:
- Help my sister with her learning her letters and starting to read.
-Help my brother with his new big words that he is learning. Find out definitions for him.
-Help my Mom clean and cook.
-Water the grass in our yard daily and water our garden daily. Also weed the garden.
-Help translate for my grandparents when they need my help. Test them in their citizenship exam.

Kahn Academy

We discovered the other day a website called Kahn Academy. I like learning math on their website and it goes from lesson to lesson with videos to help you learn.

I like doing math with my dad even more since he makes it part of stories, but right now I am doing 3 digit addition.

Summer Reading

Now that I finished the Prydain Chronicles by Lloyd Alexander, I started writing my own book. I'm about half way through it.

For this summer I have started reading Redwall. I hope to read 10 of the books by the end of summer. So far I have read Redwall, Mariel of Redwall and Mossflower and now I'm reading Mattimeo. Today we made some things from the Redwall cookbook which was a lot of fun. I really like how all the animals talk different kinds of English and I like to pretend to talk like them.

I also made a big paper cutout picture of a badger from Redwall.




Later I learned that Matisse the artist used to make paper cutouts and called it painting with paper.

Utah Trip

Recently we went on a trip to Utah on an airplane to visit some family there.

It was a great trip. Here are some of the most fun parts about it:

I liked the car that we rented. It was silver VW 2010 year and very fast. We went up to Park Canyon with it and went to Provo at BYU and Springville Museum of Art where my Mom was giving a lecture about her photographic project Lost in Learning: The Art of Discovery. There were a lot of people there. I liked seeing the big Y letter in the mountains for BYU and the U for the University of Utah. I can't wait to go to BYU some day.

I liked the Brazilian restaurant that we ate at all you can eat. We went up hiking to Sundance after that and the mountains were beautiful and fun to run all over there.

I saw my cousins and played hard, jumped on the tramp and played at their tree house.

I loved going to the Art Museum and seeing some great paintings and sculptures. Also went to Temple Square and saw the Church Museum and learned about the early days of the church. I liked seeing a mini model of the Temple and all the rooms inside of it. It was so well done.

My own board game

The other day I decided to make my own board game. I drew cards for all of the Lord of the Rings guys and then I made up rules about how strong each of them were and how to play.

Some cards have heroes and some are just regular people. There's good cards and bad cards for two people to play against each other.

The fun thing about this game is you have to do building and you have battles, but you do all of it by rolling dice so there is a lot of math adding and subtracting. It takes kind of a long time to play, but it is a very fun way to practice math.

The Chronicles of Prydain

I read all of the Prydain chronicles by Lloyd Alexander and it is one of my favorite stories ever.

It is based on Welsh myths and tells the story of a boy named Taran and his pig hen-wen and all the amazing adventures he has. My favorite characters is Fflewder Fflam and Gurgi. Fflewder has a harp with a magic string that breaks whenever he tells a lie. It breaks pretty often. Gurgi is Taran's friend and helper and very funny.

I read all 5 books and now I am working on writing my own story which is kind of the same and kind of different than Prydain.

i just learned this new song on the piano and i love it.

Oh and by the way praise to the man is a hymn from the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints and it is also the music of scotland the brave. here's its words .

The Castle

The other day I got a book about crafts from knights day and age and I decided to make a castle from cardboard. It was a lot of work, but it was fun too. I made towers and a gate and walls and my dad helped me glue everything together.

I'm pretty tired tonight to tell everything I love about castles, but I have been reading 2 fun books called the Castle in the Attic and the Battle for the Castle which tell all about knights and castles. Brian is the top guard in the Castle in the Attic. At first he worked for Alastor the evil wizard, but after Alastor was defeated he became servant to the Silver Knight.
